Not Me!

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

This week I have been a great wife. I have not neglected my husband once, or got mad because he forgot our son's cup and we had to turn around to get it. I haven't told him what a great father or husband he has been. I don't take him for granted, Nope Not Me!!!

My house is spick and span. I haven't unloaded the dishwasher or put the dishes in the sink in the dishwasher. I don't have toys and misc items strung out through the house, my floor needs to be swept. I need to fold 3 loads of laudry and wash laundry lol...Nope Not Me!!!

I have everything wrapped. I don't have a single thing wrapped, everthing is in my guest room, which I need to clean out because I have guest coming over. Nope Not Me!!

Another Giveaway

OK I have fallen in love with taking pictures and editing them. I recently took some pictures for my brother, sister-in-law and nieces before my brother got deployed for his second tour to Iraq. Well I downloaded the trail version on Lightroom and let me tell you if I could fork over that money to get me the real version I would go broke. I am not a professional photographer so I don't see it worth paying that much. But I was reading one my Blogs called MckMama, whom I have gotten great information about taking pictures. Well I was reading her blog and she has a chance where I can win Lightroom OMG!!! That would be so awesome!!! You would be amazing on what you can do with this program...I mean I am not savvy on all the things you can do with the program but I am familiar enough to know that that is a heck of a thing to win. Here are a couple pictures of E with me using the Lightroom!

Here is the original picture from our little photo shoot:

And here is the same photo with me using the editing tools of Lightroom!

Not so ready

I am not so ready for Christmas to be here. I am just not in the Christmas spirit this year!! I have all of my nieces presents bought, but they are not wrapped. I have to finish Easton's teachers gifts, and those aren't wrapped of course, I got Easton's gift for his little friend at scholl bought but like the rest of the gifts it isn't wrapped, I haven't bought any gifts for Easton yet, so guess what I am going to have to do wrap those too, we have a Christmas party to go tomorrow night, and those gifts aren't wrapped....are you getting the picture! I am over my head in wrapping gifts. Another trait I get from my mom, I can' just wrap them, I must put a bow on them and make sure they are creased just right, and find cute little tags...but this year...I think I am just going to wrap them...crap I might let Easton wrap them, lol we will see.

I am not looking forward to this Christmas party tomorrow night. Because I have to make a easy cheese ball, and I am also going to make some Wassail, which from what I heard was really easy. But I know our Friend we will call her Tammy is going to want to play games until the crack of dawn, which is fine, but I work, she is a SAHM (stay at home mom) who sleeps in until 10. I have a son who gets up at 6. So David and I get tired early. Well then there will be other kids there. Lil Bean is 9 months old and will not for the love of pete go to bed. Poor thing last time we were there they stayed until 12 and she was so fussy cause she was so tired but they wouldn't leave and then there is Big Girl, who isn't quite old enough to play games but wants to play games with us, so a game of Pictonary will turn in about bunch of scribble when she draws so then I get frustrated, because I can get very competitive at the game. And we usually play guys against girls so the guys always laugh because she has to be on our team, beacause she is a girl. And then you Taz who will run around like a banchie with his head cut off and just scream because he can't control it...messing everything us and spilling drinks he is just crazy.

So I am glad that we have to go to my family's Christmas the next morning so that means we won't be staying late...Thanks Goodness!

Merry Christmas!!!

Gives me Chills!

Some of you may know that my brother is soon to leave for Iraq for his second tour. It never get any easier. I can remember when he enlisted in the National Guard right out of High School. My family and I took him to Houston to send him off to Boot Camp. I told my whole family I am not going to cry, he will be back and I could be strong. HA was I wrong I cried the most. I knew what my brother was getting into and I was scared for him.

So sometime after Thanksgiving he will be leaving with other Brave Men and Women to Serve for our country. It still hasn't gotten any easier. I know it is harder on him this time because he will leave behind a beautiful wife and a preious baby girl. God will bring him home soon and safe. My sister-in-law started a blog (I am so proud of her) so if you would like to stay up to date on how they are doing you can go here.

My sister-in-law sent me this link to watch this video.
The Price of Peace" was written by Alyssa Gaddis (age 12) and Hart Steen. This video was created by the National Guard's Strength Maintenance Support Center near Nashville, Tennessee and filmed in October, 2008. "The video was Directed by Joel Evans, who works with the National Guard in Tennessee. Alyssa Gaddis and her sister Cassy Gaddis (age 16) beautifully honor National Guard Soldiers and their military families who know "The Price of Peace." The song was funded by State Farm Insurance. Thank you to CW5 Jim Gaddis and Mrs. Annette Gaddis and to the girls for this Tribute to Soldiers and Tribute to all our Troops! Deployment Ceremony and Welcome Home.

Wow is all I can say. I am not a wife of a soilder, but I am a sister, so I know how it feels to let a person you care for so much leave for war. But I can only imagine what it would be like to be the wife of a solider. I pray that God gives the strength to the spouses that are left to take care of the household while their loved ones are away fighting for our freedom.

It is time for:

You know they should line the man who shot the Men and Women who serve for our country up and each one of their family members get to take a shot at him. It is a horrible thing that happen and I hope God will make him suffer because of it.

Why now when Easton is 2 years old does David want to ask me how to discipline him. When I have been telling him from day one! What is the all of a sudden I am going to listen to my wife come into play. Scenario: Easton wants candy, so he comes to ask me, I tell him no because he has eaten dinner yet, so then he throws a fit, throws himself on the ground (then he wants me to help him up), so now he knows I won't give it to him so then he runs crying to David, whom gives it to him. Easton is 2 and already knows who to ask if he wants something.

I can't believe Christmas is almost here I am so ready for it, but then I am not! That means I have to buy gifts and spend money, when we have been doing so good about saving money. I always say that I am going to start in January to buy gifts and spend one month to that person or persons. Sounds like a good idea huh? Never comes in to play.

Alright got to go there is a baby in my office :)

The Opener

Easton First Year Hunting (4 months)

If you are person who hunts then you know what I am referring to when I say the Opener:

The ‘Opener’ refers to the first day of deer season. It’s a religious holiday held the closest Saturday to the first of November.

And it begins this weekend!!! I am so excited, we looked forward to this day every year. There is nothing better than sitting in the deer stand, listen to the birds rustle in the tress, the crows starting to crow, the squirrels jumping from tree limb to tree limb, and then when the sun begins to peek through you hear corn feeders going off and shots being fired. I always think man I want a piece of that gun fire. There is nothing better than that adrenline rush you get. I don't care if you have been hunting for 50 years or if this is you frist time to hunt, but you get this heart pumping feeling, that is awesome! So to all you deer hunters out there Good Luck this weekend. Bring home some meat.

Show Us your Lives

OK I am participating in Kelly's Korner ~Show Us Your Life:

”Show Us Your Life with Kelly's Korner”

She is featuring show us your Halloween Costumes.

Ever since I was a small child I have had drilled into my head (thanks mom) that we could never be something that everyone else was. So that meant you could never be a witch, fairy, vampire and so on and so on. We had to be something original. So that meant we never got to go to the store to pick out out our costumes. My mom was in charge or making our costumes. Which I never complained because we always were the stand out person whom everyone admired on the creativity or the originality of our costumes. I didn't blend in with everyone else.
So now that I am a mom I am going to continue that tradition. When I was making Easton's costume I was mumbling to myself and I stopped and just busted out laughing...David looked at me and said what is so funny. I said you know everyone says the older they get the more they turn into their mothers...well here I am!!! My mom used to always mumble when she couldn't figure something out and I always thought she was crazy for talking to herself. But I have to admit it does help talking quietly to yourself to figure out how you are going to sew this piece or how you are going to paint that piece. I am thankful for my mom being so creative and passing that gene down to me. Thanks MOM!!
OK on to what Easton was for Halloween. Every Christmas on David's side of the family we always get Whoopie Cushions so I thought it would be appropriate for Easton to be just that. So I bought some pink felt, and I filled my bathtub up with hot water and tea bags and let the felt soak. Then laid Easton on the felt to get the correct measurements and marked where his head, legs, and arms would go. I fold the fabric in half to make a half moon, so when you unfold it it will make a circle. Then I took out my Fabric Glue and glue around the edges or each piece to make them hemmed. I free handed the picture I got the look of it from the Internet. I took my pins to mark when the opening should be so I wouldn't glue them together and started gluing. I also put a little pocket on the inside of the costume so that we could put the remote farter LOL inside. Here is Mr. Whoopie

Casting Call

So I entered Easton is the GAP Casting Call!!! Everyone tells me that you should enter your boy in some kind of contest because he will win. Well let's keep our fingers crossed that he does win. You are able to enter up to 5 photos, which I didn't get to do, because some reason it took 2 of the same photos and you can't delete them after you post them. Oh well they are still really good photos, I think.

I took the photos myself last night at our church. I kept racking my brain on where we were going to take them and then all of a sudden it hit me like a ton of brinks, duh Angela take them at the church, they have that pretty white rock and a water fountain. So we rushed home and I ironed his clothes and we loaded up in the car to take the photos. Here are the 4 photos that I entered. I had to crop them so they are only of his head.

And here is the photo that I wanted to enter, but I couldn't get it cropped right where it would cut off half of his head.

So you will be getting an email to say to vote for you favorite and you better go and vote!! Because he could win Fan Fav also on top of the Casting Call! Thanks

Dirty Laudry

No I am not talking about my dirty laundry that I have growing in my laundry room, because that would be BORING to talk about. I am talking about people airing their dirty laundry. On my lunch break I decided that I was going to run some errands so I stopped by Dollar Tree (oh how I love that place)!! You feel like you buy so much and then when they tell you your total you want to cringe, but then it happens to be way lower than what you thought and you get a smile on your face. Yes I know everything is a dollar and I could have just counted all the things in my cart, but I caught up in all the exciting things I found. So back to the story, I was standing in line checking out when a lady got in line behind me. She was talking on her cell phone, and if you know me I ease drop big time, just ask my husband. Well and she wasn't really talking all that quite, I am sure the people in the back of the store could hear her to if they tried.
So she is talking to her friend (I guess). she told her friend "Chris* and I got into a huge knock out drag out fight! And I kicked him out of the house and told him don't come back, and that we are getting a divorce. Well he wanted to come and see the kids (even better) so I let him. Then I got into bed and he climb in behind me and started kissing and hugging and loving up on me. (now I don't know if they did the deed) She told Chris* that she couldn't be his therapist and yada yada yada. And girl that isn't the first time we have had a fight like that. Last time we made up and he took me to San Antonio and I thought things would have gotten better. "
I was just looking at the lady behind me and our mouths almost hit the ground. We couldn't believe that she was airing this for the whole Dollar Tree Customers to hear. I guess some people just don't care. I guess they don't think that other people are listening. Well I hate to break it to them but there ease droppers out there and I am one of them!

Downsizing

Why is when either David or I are gone, Easton is awesome. Not very whiny or fussy and listens to what you say yada yada yada. But the min. one of us comes back, he becomes the whiny, fussy, no minding kid. I don't get it. When I am away from him I will come home and always asked David, or usually David will tell me he was really good. All he kept saying was Momma Bye Bye, Momma Bye Bye. If they go to dinner he is awesome too. When David leaves it is the same for me. We can't figure it out.
For instant, David wanted to go fishing with his buddies, but it was an overnight trip, no biggie. So David left Sunday afternoon. Easton and I ran some errands and then we came home and play and then he went to bed. Monday morning, he woke up and I fixed him breakfast and he sat at the island and ate his oatmeal. I told him if he needed me to just holler and I proceeded to do my hair and makeup. When he was finished he yelled Momma, I dun. I put him down and he played with the dog and I finished getting ready. Got him dressed no biggie.
Tuesday I told David what I did in the morning...umm Easton sat there a whole 2 mins and then wanted David. then he whine about this and that. Then when I told him it was time to get dressed he ran away from me and laughed...I don't get it.
I think David and I need to downsize lol. (no we aren't getting a divorce or one of us isn't moving out) but it just has me confused.

Busy Weekend

We have a busy weekend planned. Tonight David, Easton, Chris, Amber, Landon, and myself are all heading to our deer lease. We have to take our camper up there to get ready for deer hunting. I am so excited. I hope that the rain will stop this evening when we get there, because I want to have a fire!!! I love this time of year...decorating for the holidays, eating good chili, wearing warm clothes, camp fire, and deer hunting. Sorry if that offends some of you guys, but I have been raised hunting since I was a little girl. So we are going to wake up tomorrow morning and go hog hunting and then we are going to come back to BMT because I have a Pampered Chef show tomorrow evening. We will see how Amber does on this one night adventure. Amber is not a roughing it kind of girl. At our lease you have to become one with nature if you would like to go to the bathroom. So when someone walks down the hill you know what they are going to do. I remember when I first met David I told him I like to hunt, (one way to keep him interested in me, and a turn on :), momma was using her brain) his mouth hit the floor. He said that he had a lease I was excited because that meant that I could go with him. So we pull up to his lease and my mouth hit the floor. I was looking around at two oooollllddd ass campers and one little shack that fits 2 bunk beds. So that meant we didn't have a Camp House, our Camp House was outside in the dust. I was in for it. I was used to a "nice" but not fancy Camp House, but something way better then what they called camp. So the first night we are sleeping in our camper, mind you there is no power so we didn't have a heater! It was cold. We are sleeping and Austin our dog wouldn't lay still so David turned on the light to see why he wouldn't lay still and we were laying on WASP!!! Umm no sir, we packed our stuff up and move to the next camper which wasn't much better but it work. Thank goodness this year we have a nicer camper and a generator when we can have our heater going. So now we do have power, TV with Satellite (guys couldn't live without that), Jugs full of water, and a covered area where we can sit. So you could say we are moving up. But pore Amber I think we are going to traumatize her for life. I can see it now her eyes getting big when we drive up lol.

Feeling Wonderful

Well many of you know that I was at an ACTS Retreat this past weekend. I am telling you it was awesome. I was so immersed in the Lord. Every time I go to one I get something totally different out of it. It is like I don't remember doing that or hearing that. And the messages hits "home" every time. I had plenty of time to reflect on my life and also to pray. I recommend everyone needs to go on a retreat, it doesn't matter if you are Catholic or not, you will def. get something out of it. You are away from the "outside world", which is really nice, but then when you come back to reality it is kinda shocking. It somewhat startled me on Sunday when I returned to my family.

Speaking of family Easton finally pooped on the potty for ME!! Who would have thought I would be excited that he pooped for me, but he has only pooped on the potty for David. The first time he was at church. Which is kinda shocking I thought. He won't even poop for his teacher Miss Maria, and he is there all day. We are continuing to chug along with this potty training.

Girlfriends

What would we do without our Girlfriends. I am very thankfully to have two girlfriends who I can for sure count on anytime I need them. They are always there for me to call when I just need to Chit Chat, complain about David, to tell them something new Easton is doing, or just when I need advice. The first friend and I have been best friends since the 6 grade and we have never fought a day in our lives...hard to believe i know, but we never had an argument, and I am very thankful for that. We are a day apart. So technical we knew each other from birth. We were probably talking to each other in the nursery about all the things we wanted to do when we got older. We always dreamed of living on the same piece of land and building our houses on opposite sides and we would have a huge lake between our houses and in the middle of the lake we would have a island and we would go on it to have parties...oh how our lives have changed. You never know we can still live our dream out!! My other girlfriend I met in College and we have been close since then. We talk every chance we can on our drive into work. We are so different but yet so much a like. I wished she lived closer to me, but the phone calls we have together make us seem only a few miles away. Well until she says it is X degrees in Dallas and we are always 10 degrees warmer. She is expecting her first baby in December. I can't wait to meet Addison. I am truly blessed to have TWO Best Girlfriends.

I on the other hand was a not good girlfriend this past weekend. I confused my days for Kate's baby shower, and I messed it. I truly was not a good girlfriend. Kate has already told me not to worry about it and that she wasn't upset, but I still feel really bad that I missed it. I guess I am getting older and mine mind is going, but that is no excuse. I really have some making up to do!!

I just want to say Thank You to the both of you!! You guys both mean the world to me. And you both know that I will be there for anything!!!

New Addition

Easton has yet another girl cousin! David's middle brother Michael and fiance Morgan had a baby girl - Madelyn - on the 15th (day before my birthday). She weighed 6 lbs 9 oz. and was 19 inches long (I think). She is so precious. What through me for a loop was Micheal and Aunt Moobs (that is David's name for her) went into the Hospital on Tuesday the 15th around 1:00 p.m. and had Madelynn around 6:00 p.m., they were released from the Hospital on Wednesday the 16th around 8 p.m. Boy do they get you in and then kick you out. I was shocked when I heard about that. But they are home and doing great. We got to see them last weekend. We went up on Saturday and I cooked them dinner and then we went back on Sunday (no we didn't drive back to BMT, we stayed in a hotel) and I cooked them breakfast and then I cooked them lunch. I wished I could have done more. Check her out

Doesn't David look good holding a girl lol...get it out your head. We are not ready for another one, give us a year and maybe we will be. I could have slept for hours...isn't she precious!!!

Easton def. has the Lang's Eyes... Easton with Uncle Mike

Fly Birdie

Let Dove Season be open. While I was doing my garage sale hunting, David and Easton were shoot doves. I know what you are think, that is so mean that you guys kill birds or any animal for that matter. But think of it like this, if we didn't kill off the animals we would be over populated. Some animals reproduce quicker that others. So therefore we must control the population. If we don't then it will be like that movies "Birds" we will be attacked by them. So David and Easton dress to the 9's in the Camo and ventured out to Freddy and Kristen's back yard. David said Easton cried the first time David shot the gun. He didn't understand why, because we play hunt all the time. So David put him in Freddy's truck where he enjoyed himself. The boys got a couple of birds, which is better than no. The dove were flying really high!! Here is a picture of my two babies enjoying some outdoor time together.

No you can't have them, they are mine!!!

Why is when you don't fill like giving your man some loving and you tell them no they pout like a 2 year old. Come on get over it. I am not saying any names here...(cough cough) David, like I would be talking about any other man, because I have 5 other husbands in my life, didn't you know. He does this everytime. It aggervates me to no end.

I hate/love the rain. I hate it when I am not home because I cannot curl up on the couch in my blanket and when people don't know how to drive in the rain. Why is when it sprinkles two drops people slam on their brakes. Are you serious! For real?!? I also don't like to ride with people who put the foot on the pedal then the brake, pedal brake, pedal brake, I had to ride home with someone who did that all the way from Austin, it made me nausea. Just put your foot on the pedal and drive for heavens sake. But I love it when it makes our grass green and our land beautiful, but not when it make mud holes and you can't mow your green grass that is 2 feet tall. Tanner almost gets lost in our jungle of grass.

Why is it, I have one client that calls me and announces who she is and what company EVERY TIME! She could call me 5 times in one day and every time say Angela this Bertha from Super Clean Floors (name and company are made up). I can even says her name and she still tells me her name and the company. Umm hello I have caller ID! I don't care if I spoke to her two seconds ago. It isn't like she talks fast either she talks sloooowww.

Alright I gots to get back to work.

The Beach

I know Labor Day happened weeks ago, but I have been so busy with work that I haven't had time to talk about it. David and I were invited to Sargent to hang out with Kristen and Freddy. We had a blast of a time. My feet hurt like hell from walking bear foot on the sand, but Easton had an even better time playing in the sand. I am not a big ocean person. Back in high school, I know many years ago, working on 10. The current was going out and it was taking me with it, I had to holler for one of my friends to get me because I was getting to the point where I couldn't touch anymore. I have since then not been afraid but not fond of the water. Plus I hate the sand it gets EVERYWHERE!!! Here is pictures of Easton having a grand time.

The joys of being a Mommy

Ok so early in the week I talked about a story that I would share with you guys later this week, well today is the day. I am going to pre-warn you about the pictures that will be posted in this blog.

All of you know that we are potty training our little boy, which I might add he is doing great! We are three weeks into potty training. So when we are at home we usually let him run around with just a shirt and socks on. He does better that way. So last Saturday we had to go out of town so we to up and Easton went potty on the potty so we just left his underwear off. David and I started to load the car and Easton wanted to be outside too, what is new. So he climbed in the car by himself and was playing in there. I told him when he needed to go potty to let me know..."K"... So I went back inside and I was walking back out with pillows when Easton said Momma Poo, Momma Poo. I asked him you need to go poo he started shaking his head yes. So I quickly got him and ran to the potty. I am super excited that my child whom has only been potty training for 2 weeks at this time is going poop on the potty. I am jumping with joy!! So David comes in and says Babe I think the car smells like Sh*t I said surely not. I would have Sh*t on me...

So I look myself and what do you know I have Sh*t on me, not a lot just a very tiny bit. I walk into our Laundry room where David is walking back in from outside and I telling him I think there might be sh*t in the car....he just starts laughing and say oh yeah there is lol. It is on one of your Pampered Chef Catalogs. I am thinking great. No biggie. So I go and take a look for myself....(beware) and this is what I see:

My first thought was good lord that is a lot of Sh*t for a little boy and my second thought was this is funny and I need to take a picture. After I done laughing I throw the sh*t away and go to get my carpet cleaner and Lysol. And as you can tell my son gets crumbs everywhere so I figure since I am already cleaning this up I mine as well clean up all the crumbs that are on the floor of my car. I cleaning along and forgetting what just happened and I saw a chicken nugget on my flip flop I go to get the "nugget" and it wasn't a nugget!! When I picked it up I said ERG...and Dave comes out and says what I said SH****T with my hands up like an Italian man....I started laughing again I go inside to wash my hands and here comes David with the Hand Sanitizer, I think he pumped out half the bottle in my hand. So after I cleaned that up. I told Easton, you don't Poop in Mommy's car you poop on the potty, he starts looking for the dog and shaking his head and pointing at the dog saying..."dog poop", I said no you poop, again pointing at the dog saying, "dog poop," then he starts telling the dog no no no no. I was in disbelief a two year old is blaming the poop in the dog!

Moral of the story if it looks like a nugget, check twice. And to never under estimate your children on how young they learn to blame other people for what they did. Here is the mister pooper himself, getting all big:

I know I have been away a while...it has been busy here on the Job Site! Today is Corporate Extension Deadline...so we are hustling and bustling to get these returns out. The man in charge has taken a liking to the door that separates his office and mine to be open!!! Let's just say that my roommate and I aren't to fond of it. He thinks we get more work down. I will have to agree...because my computer faces the opening of the door which means he can see if I am surfing the net or not. This bites.

Easton's potty training is going really well. Expect for what happened on Saturday morning. But I will talk about that one day this week. I was going to focus hard core on the potty training thing this weekend, but I am going to be a new Aunt...David's brother and fiance are having their baby today...I am trying to get her to hold out until tomorrow...why you might ask, because my Birthday is tomorrow!!! Yes you can send me a gift, you don't need to ask. Back to Easton, he only had two accidents yesterday, one was at lunch and the other one was at snack and the teacher couldn't get him to the potty quick enough. I am so proud of my little boy. We have only been potty training for 3 weeks!!!

My desk is a wreck!! Papers are everywhere!!! I am out of control...lol i have to laugh cause the man in charge says it a lot! Especially around deadlines. He waits until the last min. to check returns...

Ok I need to get back to work...oh and since we have the door open in it is freezing in my office all day everyday!

What's Cooking

So last week I talked about a new recipe that I tried when Easton decided he wanted to play in the yogart, waffle & cheese...so without further adue here is the Feature Recipe for the Week:
Jerk Chicken Nachos

(this twist on a classic is so easy to make and isperfect for a casual night in with friends)

6 cups of Tortilla chips

3 cups diced or shredded cooked chicken

2 cups (8 ounces) shredded cheddar and Monterrey Jack cheese blend

2 tablespoons Jamaican Jerk Rub, divided (ask me how to get the rub)

1 small yellow or red bell pepper or combination

1 lime

2 tablespoons snipped fresh cilantro

1/4 cup sour cream and 1 teaspoon additional Jamaican Jerk Rub (optional)

1. Preheat oven to 425F. Arrange tortilla chips in a slightly overlapping layer on Large Round Stone or Large Bar Pan.

2. In Classic Batter Bowl, combine chicken, cheese and 1 tablespoon of the jerk rub; mix gently using Small Mix 'N Scraper. Sprinkle chicken mixture evenly over tortilla chips. Bake 5 - 7 minutes or until cheese is melted; remove from oven to Stackable Cooling Rack.

3. Meanwhile, dice bell pepper with Santoku Knife. Cut lime in half crosswise. Juice half of the lime using Citrus Press into Small Batter Bowl; adding remain jerk rub and bell pepper and mix well.

4. Snip cilantro in mincing cup of Herb Keeper using Kitchen Shears. Slice remaining lime half using Ultimate Mandoline fitted with v-shaped blade; cut slices in half using Utility Knife.

5 Spoon bell pepper mixture over nachos; sprinkle evenly with cilantro. If desire, combine sour cream and additional jerk rub in resealable bag; trim corner to allow sour cream to flow through. Pipe sour cream mixture over nachos. Garnish with lime slices.

David and I really enjoyed this meal! And we hope you do too! It is such an easy peasy meal and it is also light! You will also noticed in the picture that one side, that is because I didn't think David would like all the bell peppers and what not so I left them off on that side.

(For all the words in Bold ask me how you can get those. Thanks!!)

randomtuesday

So I don't know what got me thinking this today, but do you believe in Hypnosis? Do you really think people don't know what they are doing and that people really get hypnotized? I think it is all fabricated. Do you know anyone that has been hypnotized....makes you think.

Why is it when I have dog duty that he wakes up 4 times throughout the night to go potty and when David has dog duty he only wakes up one time? Seems unfair to me lol. And we got Easton going to bed by himself...he is becoming a big boy.

I have learned really quick that through this whole potty training business we have to go straight home. I tried to stop yesterday to go to Babies R Us to get those protectors things and when I got him out of his car seat his pants were wet...go ahead put a mark on your calendars...one mark for being peed on. Isn't life grand.

I am ready to eat my chocolate cake...but it is five mins before 2. I usually eat my sweats for the day during that time.

I am so excited because on Thursday I get my hair did!!! I think I am going to go for a mullet...why oh why do people do mullets? I mean who is their hairdressers for heavens sakes, they should be fired!! How would you like you hair cut today. Umm I think I am going to go short on the top and long in the back...oh you mean you want one of my Special Mullets cuts, coming right up! I swear when I go to Wally World I see at least 3 people with a mullet and a I shake my head every time! Next time I will try to get a picture of a lady with it.

I have alot of organize in my office today, but I don't feel like doing it...wow I am have said that for a couple days now, that is why I have a lot of organizing of paperwork to do. I keep putting it off. Up it is 2:00 need to go and eat my cake lol. I will organize later!

Today could be the start something good or bad

So today is the day that Easton becomes a BIG BOY!!! He will no longer be wearing diapers except to sleep in!! Him and 3 other kids at the stables (daycare) are all becoming big kids. So David and I must have patience with our Little Big Kid! I sent 6 pairs of big kid underwear, 4 changes of clothes, 2 diaper covers, 1 change of shoes, oh and a partridge in a pair tree...lol. The one thing I can't find Vinyl underwear cover I can find ones that have a waterproof cover with like underwear on the inside, but they don't want that at the stables, that prefer vinyl covers, so if you know where I can get my hands on some I would love to know. I am excited because the stables kinda have to do the grunt works as Daddy describes it, we just have to assist. So this should be fun. Can't you just wait to hear about all of our accidents we will be having lol. I have a feeling it is going to feel like when he was first born and I was getting peed and pooped on! And now packing will have to be more clothes like a newborn again. I will keep you guys updated on our progress. Please pray for David and I and for Easton to become potty trained soon!

Turn Your Back

OK so yesterday I got some of my products that I order from what I sell...I can't just blatantly come out and say what I sell there is some law against it, but if you would like to know just email me :). I decided that I wanted to purchase some Jamaican Jerk Rub...David has been to Jamaica before and my relatives are from there, but I have never been or met my relatives. David said that that is common ingredient in all their cooking. So we decided to step out on a limb and try a new season. OK get to the story...so yesterday when I received my package I was excited to open it. I immediately got online and searched for a recipe online from website that I get all my info about my products etc. And I found one. I had all the ingredients! Score!!! (I will def. be using this recipe as a feature in next weeks Recipe of the Week!!!)
So when we get home from Work/School, Easton always wants a snack, but first we have to let Tanner out...So back inside, Easton says eat eat...ok so he wanted a waffle no biggie, we put in the microwave, I put him in his chair. Waffle is done I pull it out and put it in a bowl. The he points to the fridge and say orgrt. So I reply with you want yogurt. He shakes his head yes. So I get that for him... and then I start with preparing dinner. Easton is being really good. He is all about dipping stuff. So lets picture this...Easton is dipping his waffle into his yogurt, no big deal. Well I turn away and I start loading the dishwasher and I turn back around and I find this:
this

And This!!!

So all together Easton has Waffle, Yogurt, & Cheese for his Snack...good and nutritious!!! It made me laugh and that is all that matters...I hope you got your fill of laughter today too!

Whats Cooking

I am going to start a new thing...of course it is new because I have never done this whole blogging thing before!!! Duh!

Ok alot of my friends know that I love to cook and I LOOOVVVEE to try new recipes, so I am going to start a New Recipe of the week. Anyone who comes to my house for dinner always asking what we are going to eat...I tell them what I am making and I usually follow those words with I have never made this before it is a new recipie. And as far as I know nothing has never not turned out. Or at least my friends just grin and bear it. But they keep coming back, so it must always be good. And they have never said please don't make that again when I am over here. They always ask me where I get my recipes from and it get them all over the place....BHG, Pillsbury, Cookbooks, etc. I am a picture person...if it looks good it must taste good. lol I guess I like to try new recipes to because (sorry mom), my mom always cooked the same thing over and over...but I guess that was partily my dads fault because he never liked to try new stuff!! So enough gabbing lets get to it:

THE RECIPIE OF THE WEEK

This is a good winter food!!

Sante Fe Chicken Bread Bowls

Recipe from Pillsbury

(Doesn't it just look good and hearty)

INGREDIENTS
2 (11-oz.) cans
Pillsbury® Refrigerated Crusty French Loaf
1 tablespoon olive or vegetable oil
2 boneless skinless chicken breast halves, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1/4 cup chopped red onion
1 (16-oz.) can chili beans, drained
1 (11-oz.) can Green Giant® Super Sweet Yellow and White Corn, drained
1 (10-oz.) can Old El Paso® Red Enchilada Sauce
3/4 cup sour cream
1/2 cup ketchup
1 (1-oz.) pkg. Old El Paso® Taco Seasoning Mix
1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
2 oz. (1/2 cup) shredded Cheddar cheese, if desired

DIRECTIONS
1. Heat oven to 350°F. Spray cookie sheet with nonstick cooking spray. Remove dough from cans. Cut each loaf into 3 pieces; shape each into ball, placing seam at bottom so dough is smooth on top. Place dough balls, seam side down, on sprayed cookie sheet. Bake at 350°F. for 22 to 26 minutes or until golden brown.

2. Meanwhile, heat oil in large saucepan over medium-high heat until hot. Add chicken, bell pepper and onion; cook 5 to 7 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink in center, stirring occasionally.

3. Add all remaining ingredients except cheese; mix well. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 7 minutes or until thoroughly heated, stirring occasionally.

4. With sharp knife, cut small portion off top of each loaf. Lightly press center of bread down to form bowls. Place each bread bowl on individual serving plate. Spoon about 1 cup chicken mixture into each. Sprinkle evenly with cheese. Place top of each bread bowl next to filled bread bowl.

I hope you enjoy...let me know what you think of it when you try it!!!

This little Rascal

About two months we were down in my hometown visiting my family and friends for the day. We had left our dog Austin at my Dad's house while we went to our friends house, no biggie. When we got back we let the dogs outside to run and play. Well the dogs started barking so we knew somebody was there so we walked outside to see who it was and it was man carrying our dog Austin, whom got ran over by a truck. The heartless people didn't even stop. To say the least it was a LONG ride back home. David and I cried and cried. We decided that we would bury Austin in our back yard. Well every time we are outside Easton will say Dog and will point to where Austin is buried. When we mow grass he will wave and blow kisses to Austin...it is sad...

So for Easton's 2nd Birthday David decided that we need to get Easton another dog...no biggie. We went and looked at two different sets and decided to get one!! Well this little rascal cutie of a dog is becoming a responsibility of mine and only mine. I have to get up the middle of the night when Tanner starts biting and licking me to take him outside to go potty. I have to give him food and water...I, I , I! I ask my husband, babe can you please help me with taking Tanner outside so that he doesn't Poop or Pee in the house. His response, oh I am sorry I didn't know that he just ate...ummm we do the same routine every morning, sorry that I didn't mention to you this morning that hey I just fed the dog, so in 10 or so mins he needs to go outside...Men!! But I still love them both!!
